WELCOME!

I graduated from Montana State University in the summer of 2021 with a BA in Film Production, I minored in Psychology, and completed a Business and Entrepreneurship Certificate. I've worked on a few short film sets (student and MSU faculty) doing anything from makeup and production design to writing, directing, and producing. I've also worked on commercial sets as a production assistant in Montana for companies including Wrangler and Malboro. If you need a PA that knows how sets run, contact me! The main service I provide and have the most experience in is editing, and on this website are some of my photo and video edits to give you an idea of my work.

​I worked at Cairns Film, a Bozeman based video production company for about 2 years. As an editor and producer there I learned a lot about working with clients, time management, and helped re-do our website. I now manage my own small business Alara's Editing & Productions so contact me if you need an editor or production assistant! 

​I am now working as a teaching artist for Media Arts Center San Diego where I teach filmmaking to kids from ages 6-18. I run my own documentary filmmaking class for 13-16 year olds that is a 12 week long class meeting once a week on Saturdays where I help them each produce a short documentary. I also assistant teach a class at Alba community school, and at Second Chance community school. I also help out with the summer camps that we have each week over the summer. We teach everything from stop motion animation, green screen and silent films, to writing scripts, storyboarding and producing short films.
